It was late, the night was dark, the best source of light the college could offer to young Alice was a floating orb that was getting dimmer as she flipped through the pages of a strangely big, book. In it was many writings, those began to get blurry for the young mind, who was called to sleep by her entire body. Her nose was approaching the book more and more when she suddenly lifted her head from the noise of a door getting opened. Shortly, footsteps echoed and entered the library a red-haired middle-aged woman, holding a staff and wearing robes that seemed to glow in the darkness of the room. “Alice? What ar

Two thugs were guarding a closed door, awaiting a known danger.
“They coming.” said one, looking at another who looked terrified.
“There was more than 40 of us… how the hell did 4 people did that without even getting hit by a shot?!”
Both of them jumped when they heard a knock on the door. A man’s voice could be heard from the other side, “You know, we just want your boss, he is our only target. If you just open, you won’t be hurt.” he promised.
The two men looked at the other, then back at the door. “We should take the offer.” called one, looking
As you shuffle through your mail, you find a letter written in a shaking hand from someone that did not leave his name. It read: Dear friend. I can’t remember the last time I’ve slept well in the past two days. Not even a simple nap can rest me now. It seems that I drown every time I try to reach slumber. Closing my eyes is a challenge of my will now. It exhaust me more than it repair my mind because of a simple picture that I can not describe. I awoke, cold and coughing, the only thing I could see was a glass, centimeters from my face.
The pod I was in opened and I fell on the floor still trying to understand what happened.
Suddenly, memories flashed in my mind. The bombs, they fell... I had to flee and entered a vault and we... Wait... We? We... Nora... Shaun! I opened my eyes wide and looked right before me, another pod. I jumped on it and quickly activated it.
“Unable to open, please proceed manually.” said a pre-recorded voice.
“Damn it!” I kicked the pod in frustration, destroying the ice that formed on it and setting free the door to open it.
